Praise the Lord!!! She is awake!!!

Dad arrived and found out that mom was a lot more responsive throughout the night. She started bringing her arm toward face. Slept on and off most of morning.

2pm--She is awake!!!!! Yes, mom is back awake. She is shaking her head back and forth and understands what you say to her. Very responsive to everyone. Still doing chest treatments every 4 hours.

4:45pm--I arrived and they were removing her ventilation tube from her mouth. She was so relieved to have that out of her mouth. She wants to talk but was told at least an hour before she could try. Dr.'s and nurses told her to try to cough the mucus in her lungs up and we could suction it out of her mouth. Told us that she will be hoarse for awhile. Also, informed us that she will having surgery on Friday for her right humerous. Not sure what time yet. Will be trying to post all updating information as we receieve it.

Also, I can't thankyou enough for everything everyone has done so far for mom and my family. The prayers are working and please keep them coming. I know that this road is going to be a long one but we have a great support system to help us on the road to recovery. Today has been an awesome day. Mom is back!!!

David just called and said "Marcia, your Spirit Sister is back." I screamed and started to cry praising the Lord for answering prayer! I can't wait to get back to Oklahoma but for right now I have to concentrate on being a "Grammy" again tomorrow. I love you Jill! Your Spirit Sister - Marcia

Jill, one memory I wish you could have would be the HUGE smile on David's face when he came out of your room yesterday - the relief and joy at your responses to him! Praise God!! May every doctor look back and be able to see the hand of God in your recovery! He is the Great Healer, and we are overjoyed to see the answers to prayers. Love you!

Oh how exciting!!! I have never blogged before and have NO idea how to do that but how could I resist the opportunity to sing praises to our merciful God for Who He is??!! Thank you for whoever set this blog up, so that we can keep close tabs on our friend when we cannot be there personally!

Angie and David, just know that our precious Jill is being bathed in prayer by multitudes of people. His mercies are new every morning! Great is His faithfulness!
Big hug!

I am happy to hear that Jill is responsive. I have sent out prayer request to every I know and even people I don't know. Courage can't see around corners, but goes around them anyway. We are here for you as you find the courage to go around the corners of each new day.
Thoughts, Prayers and Love,
