Another surgery day!
Mom had a big day today. She had surgery on her left leg today. She had 2 stabilized bars on the outside of her left leg in the top and bottom of her leg and connected at the knee area. The doctor removed those stabilized bars and have her leg wrapped and a big brace on it. She will have to have complete knee replacement surgery down the road eventually. This was just a fix until that can happen. The doctors want to move her to a middle rehab unit where they specify in extended recovery on Monday sometime. They will focus on mom's recovery and help her in the way of mentally and physically. She is confused about where she is and wants to go home. All of you who know my mother know she is a fighter, please keep the prayers coming. Thanks for everything everyone has done. We have established an account at Spirit Bank in Edmond for mom's expenses if anyone wants to contribute. Please don't feel opligated but our family appreciates everything.

Dear Jill,
You are showing amazing strength and willpower during this very frustrating time of healing. Yesterday, Friday, you went thru your 9th surgery and as always you were brave and confident.
David was right there by your side when you came back to your room, I was there to lend a hand with anything he might need. Never in my life have I ever seen such compassion from a man. He is completely focused on your every need. When you awaken for a few minutes, asking questions, David is right there at your side, stroking your hair gently and holding your hand trying to comfort you as he is carefully answering your questions. Using such caution with his words trying not to upset you. Then, with his soft deep voice he comforts you and lulls you back to sleep.
While you were trying to sleep, I convinced him to go downstairs and get some fresh air (it wasn't easy)but he did. You did wake up looking for David and I told you that he went to get a bite to eat and you said "good!" I smiled. Then you looked deep into my eyes and squeezed my hand. I asked you if you knew who I was, that it was me, Di. You gave me a grin and shook your hand and told me that you love me!!!! Not once! But TWICE! Praise God! I told you that I loved you too!
As you rest and heal, prayers are being answered just as fast as they come in. Just want you to know that we are all here waiting to help you rebuild and get stronger and come home!
God is good. I love you.
Di
Angie,
How do we contribute to the fund? Is there an address you can post that we know where to send it, since we aren't in the area?
Thanks,
Bonnie
