Chatty Jill is back!!!
Hello to everyone. For those of you who have seen mom this week, wow. For the others let me reassure you that mom is back to her old self now. She will talk your ear off but loves to have company. She is getting tired of being in the hospital and has the heebie geebies really bad. A person definitely would after being there after 58 days without going home. We should hopefully find something out this next week about when they are going to do the knee surgery. We will keep everyone posted as we know the plan of action. Thank you to everyone again for everything. Dad brought the dogs to see mom today and it was awesome. Also, Kelly came and gave mom a haircut too. She has had a busy day today.

She is very talkative.
Sorry that it has been so long however I had problems logging into the blog over the weekend. Anyway, the latest is mom went to the orthopedic doctors on Friday at the OU Medical Center. She had a great report. They took off the cast on the left wrist and removed the pins. She is not wearing the sling on her right arm anymore either. They removed the brace on her right leg. She tore her MCL on her right knee and it is healing good. She is having an mri on her left leg(knee) today to find out exactly how to fix it up. So that is the next step right now. Hopefully, when they do the mri today they can schedule her knee surgery really soon. She is so relieved to have her arms free and leg free. She is wide awake and talking non stop. She loves to have visitors come by and see her. She is getting bored and ready to get this show on the road as she will tell you. Our family is so grateful to have all the great family and friends who have helped us out so much. I will keep everyone posted as to what the mri says. Thanks again.

Moved to room #215
Mom has had a better weekend. She was moved to a private room on Friday so she is now in room 215. We found out today that she has a bladder infection and is on antibiotics. She is really in good spirits. It is hard for her to wake up every morning because she is confused about where and why she is in the hospital. Once, she realizes what is going on, it gets better for her. She has an appointment on Friday with her orthopedic doctors at the OU Medical Hospital. Hopefully we can find out the game plan and have a lot of questions answered about what is next with her recovery process. We want to thank everyone so much for volunteering to sit with mom during the day. It has helped us out so much.

Continue to have the faith!!
Not a lot of change. Mom is becoming very aware of what is going on now and she is not very happy. For those of you who have already visited her, she is not very happy with things the way they are. She will ask you to let her loose of her casts and legs. Please bear with us. This is a difficult time for our family knowing this is not our Jill, mom, in the bed. How ironic that Jared's bible memory verse for school this week is Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Now that I have said that, we have to lean on God for all of this. He has a plan for mom and even though we are frustrated and don't understand, God does. We do need some volunteers to please go and sit with mom during the day. We need a morning volunteer from 9am-1pm or so and then 1pm-5pm or so. Please contact dad if you can help at 623-9209 or me(Angie) at 306-6286 and let us know. We are covered thru Thursday this week.

Not a lot of change
First of all, our family would like to thank everyone who has been praying and doing things for our family. We appreciate it more than you know. I haven't posted an update because there really hasn't been a lot of change. Mom is progressing very very slowly. Some days are better than others. I know that she has had some visitors and I think that is great. She is still in tremendous pain and very uncomfortable. She wants everyone to take all those things off of her and get her home. We only wish it were that easy. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. Please pray for mom to be patient.
